After 3 now comes 4!!

When all people were bragging about the new released of iPhone 3G back then, I just hold back and said to myself- be patient Mira..pakai jer dulu phone yang ada...and when iPhone 3GS was released, at that time hati dah start rasa tak tenang selagi tak dapat pegang iPhone dekat tangan sendiri...I discussed with my husband about me changing my phone and coincidentally he also wanted to own iPhone for himself..Okay deal..then we each got our own iPhone 3GS...

Just when you think there is nothing else to come up with, more and more technology comes out!...I just got to know iPhone 4G is just about to be released in the market...I was like what?? I just bought my iPhone 3GS like 6 - 7 months ago and now Apple came out with the new version of iPhone which of course with more new features and applications....Duhhh...Hati kembali rasa kurang senang...Apakahhhh??

Is it worth it if I own this gorgeous shiny little thing??

Aaaahhhh...so menggoda jiwa ragaku...

Black color is even more sexy!

Here I listed out a few features of the reasons why I should have iPhone 4G:
  • Thinner! With shiny glass back piece - 9.3 mm thick.
  • Unified Mailbox (all email accounts in one area).
  • Application folders.
  • New wallpaper/background options.
  • A new, sleeker body design.
  • OLED screen.
  • Multi-Tasking. (use multiple functions at once without going in and out of apps).
  • iChat camera (on the front so you can have video chat!!!).
  • 32G (basic) and 64G of memory. You're sure to never run out.
  • Extended battery life!!!
  • Hi Definition Camera (5 megapixel) with a backside illuminated sensor AND FLASH!
  • Hi Definition Camcorder.
  • Hi Definition audio.
  • Messaging light.
  • True GPS built in.
For more info kindly go to here.

For those yang pakai iPhone mesti tak berapa nak puas hati dengan performance battery kan?? With iPhone 4G they improved the battery performance to 40%!!

To all iPhone lover, iPhone 4G just been released to the market on June 2010 but tak tau la bila akan sampai kat Malaysia..and by that time I am pretty sure mesti ramai giler nak trade-in iPhone 3G and change to iPhone 4G..High possibility it will happen to yours truly jugak..opppss!

Waka Waka Song

I love this song. Waka Waka. It makes me wanna dance each time I listen to it and I am proud that Shakira did do this song justice, revamped it, made it a world hit and did not westernize it at all. The song is definately inspirational... this is indeed the time for Africa! I love the fact that in this song, one gets a taste of the African melodies with the Shakira twist!

Enjoy!

Oooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehh

You're a good soldier
Choosing your battles
Pick yourself up
And dust yourself off
Get back in the saddle

You're on the front line
Everyone's watching
You know it's serious
We are getting closer
This isn't over

The pressure is on
You feel it
But you got it all
Believe it

When you fall get up, oh oh
If you fall get up, eh eh
Tsamina mina zangalewa
Cuz this is Africa
Tsamina mina, eh eh
Waka waka, eh eh
Tsamina mina zangalewa
This time for Africa

Listen to your God
This is our motto
Your time to shine
Don't wait in line
Y vamos por todo

People are raising
Their expectations
Go on and feed them
This is your moment
No hesitations

Today's your day
I feel it
You paved the way
Believe it

If you get down get up, oh oh
When you get down get up, eh eh
Tsamina mina zangalewa
This time for Africa
Tsamina mina, eh eh
Waka waka, eh eh
Tsamina mina zangalewa
Anawa a a
Tsamina mina, eh eh
Waka waka, eh eh
Tsamina mina zangalewa
This time for Africa

And when I searched for the Waka Waka lyrics, I found the original version of Waka Waka song..Do you know that this song is originally sung by a makossa group from Cameroon called Golden Sounds?? Well I don't! This group were beloved throughout the continent for their silly dances and costumes.

Here's the original version of Waka Waka Song...

I personally like Waka Waka Song from Shakira better! She's hot and she totally knows how to shake her bootylicious!!!!=p

World Cup Fever

I started to develop interest nak ambil tahu pasal football ni after I met my husband...Since then ada la ambil tahu sikit2 pasal nama-nama team, nama-nama player sometimes teman my husband watch football together and try my best to support his favorite football team even tak berapa nak clear why my husband menjadi die-hard-fan team tersebut...but demi suami tercinta I layan kan jer la..

So since World Cup (WC) is around the corner, memang my husband dah sound awal-awal time WC ni especially kalau time team favorite dia tengah main jangan la sesekali nak tukar channel TV or ajak dia pergi to anywhere memang permintaan anda tidak akan dilayan..But sometimes atas sebab-sebab yang tak dapat dielakkan dia terpaksa redha la miss tengok game tu but I know that hati dia memang tak tenang and his iPhone memang tak pernah lekang dari tangan sebab nak check update dekat soccernet..I, on the other hand ada dekat Malaysia masa opening WC and sempat la watch few games before I come back to work..

Kalau ikutkan distance from my work place dengan South Africa memang dah dekat sangat dah..tapi masa tak mengizinkan untuk singgah ke sana..Kalau ada rezeki boleh tengok WC live dekat Brazil in 4 years from now..Mana lah tau Encik Suami nak bagi hadiah anniversary holiday dekat Brazil ker...hehehe

Masa opening WC this year, we were in Singapore and in the hotel that we were staying has no sport channel..My husband memang frust habis..ada la channel yang tunjuk WC opening ceremony but tak tunjuk the first game..TV1 kan dapat jugak dekat Singapore but during WC TV1 blocked viewer from Singapore watching all shows on TV1..My husband told me, TV1 pays a lot to show WC game on air..Itu pon lepas share dengan Astro..If I am not mistaken they have to pay around RM 50 juta untuk dapatkan license untuk siarkan WC games..It's a lot of moneyyyyyy!!!!...Singapore government agak kedekut nak bagi rakyat Singapore tengok WC for free so Singaporean have to pay for special sport channel untuk membolehkan mereka tengok WC live..

To show our moral support towards my husband, Emir and I pon ada pakaian rasmi sempena World Cup ni...

My husband all time favorite team..ENGLAND!!
One for Ayah, one for Ibu and one for Emir..
Special delivery from UK..

UPDATE!
England is qualified to the second round.
Tonight ada game England VS Germany..Hopefully luck is always on England!

Quote from my husband "ENGLAND till I DIE"

Bon au revoir Malaysia!

I calculated in one year, I travel with plane more than 10 times..and that number only includes traveling to and fro for work..If I count flying for vacations it will double the number..memang leh jadi lagi kaya owner Emirates dengan AirAsia...KLIA and Dubai international airport memang dah jadi macam my second home..To tell you the truth, after certain times I feel tired of flying here and there especially for a long distance flight..

And now again, for a countless time I am again packing my luggage and travel mencari rezeki in another part of the world..

I supposed to come back to work last week on 20th June, and 2 days before the date I was actually hoping that my manager will send email to me asking me to stay for another one week..I don't know why I feel like 3 weeks days off I had is too short..I feel like I am not ready to come back to work..I feel like I still don't get enough rest after 6 weeks working everyday..Erkk..actually that's what I felt each time I reached the end of my days off..:p

If you really wish for something and you are sincerely praying to Allah to help you, InsyaAllah your wish will be granted..You know what, a day before the date I should fly back to Nigeria, I got a call from my manager..He asking me to stay for another one week!!! Apparently, the job that I have supposedly to go is delayed..I was so extremely happy!!

Then again, now I feel the same like what I felt last week..*sigh* Being a human, bagi betis nak peha..

I felt so lazy to pack my luggage and decided to wait until football match between England VS Slovenia ended. It was indeed a very tense match to watch as both team has potential to go to second round. Since England had shown a very so-so performance in the last two games, they have by hook or by crook to win this game with victory. Emir was sleeping through out the game and woke up just 10 minutes before the game ended. My house turned out like a mini stadium since my FIL and my four BIL were staying at our house to watch the match together...

Okay back to my 'pack-the-luggage' story..Emir was awake after almost 4 hours sleep and there's no way he will come back to sleep in just a minute. The time was showing 12 o'clock and I'd already started packing half way. This time around, my luggage is loaded with foods and bahan-bahan nak masak since Ramadhan will come very soon. I need to get myself ready especially to fulfill my stomach desires during Ramadhan..Mind you, I don't have Bazaar Ramadhan in Nigeria tau and there's only few guys yang puasa..so rarely I can get foods that can memenuhi nafsu makanku reach my liking..hihihi

So this little guy was so generous enough to help me to pack my stuffs...After few attempts sending him to his father back and forth and he was crying his lung out each time I was out from his sight, I was finally letting him to assist me..But instead of putting things inside the luggage he threw all my things that I put in before out the luggage..I guess he doesn't want me to leave him again..

.......or maybe....

He was trying to fit in it!

He finally made it! He lied down in the luggage and his face expression saying "Perhaps Ibu could bring me along..."

Can't stop myself smiling looking at the last picture..I didn't expect he could threw everything out and actually had an idea of lying down inside of the luggage..after all he just 1 year 5 months old!

A man whom we called "Abah-Ayah-Daddy-Bapak-Abi"

Being a father has never been easier I would say.

As a father....

.....he has to set himself to be a role model to all of his kids.
.....he has to sacrifice a lot to provide the best for his children.
.....he has to put his kids' wants and needs ahead from his own.

To my Abah,

Thank You for being the best father to all of us! I know you have sacrifice a lot to give us the best as you could. Thank You for being there when we really need your help. We love you so much!!

To my husband and my father-in-law,

You guys are the greatest dad ever!

A true dad is hard to come by, but a truly special thing.

Journey to the south...cuti-cuti Singapore!

Hi readers!

How's your morning? Mine, tak cukup tidur sebab semalam berjaga packing baju semua..

I will have a long journey today down south to Johor Bahru..Tomorrow we will enter Singapore! and will back to Kuala Lumpur on Sunday..

I am really excited!!

Ada siapa2 nak kirim? Fridge magnet ker or murtabak Singapore ker..do email me at miralatiff@gmail.com..bye!

I wish I had an extra super power!

I want to thank Ida for this honorable award given to me and I personally think that all mothers in the world are SUPERMOM!

Why I said that:

1) From the moment you know that you are pregnant, you slowly start to sacrifice yourself with all morning sickness, heartburn, berat badan naik mendadak, your feet rapidly becoming a-giant-feet, and the list goes on and on.....
2) In the labor room, fighting for your life to deliver your cute little bundle of joy..
3) Not to mention, adventures that you have to face everyday through out your life as a mother to raise your kids...that is even more challenging huh?

Plus being a working mom, I really need that extra superpower! and also extra TIME!

But above all that, there's nothing can describe how you feel when you know that all your kids are successfully growing up happy and healthy..I can't believe that I've been a mom for almost 1 year and 5 months..how time flies and I really enjoy every bit of it!

I would like to devote this award to:

1) Azie Mommy Mya
2) Murni PG
3) Dayang Mummylicious
4) Lizzie Mummy Aiden
5) Iza The Pink Stilettos
6) Nurul Madam Soyaree - My husband is American :P
7) Ibu Arifa
8) Kak Munirah -The Triplet plus One
9) Kak CT BlackCardomompods

and last but not least........

10) To all mothers in the world!

Macaroni Chicken Bolognese, anyone??

When my son entering 12 months, making homemade food for him is a lots of fun! After months of pureeing, mashing and carefully introducing new foods, making food for him now become a little easier.

Normally if I was at home, I will try my best to prepare homemade food for Emir. In some rare cases, like if we were out for vacation, we will try to search any restaurant which served porridge. Emir memang tak minat langsung dengan baby cereal yang bancuh2 tu..I've tried to give him once and it ended up fully pack until it reached expiring date. So memang no other options la..

The other day, when we were out to do groceries, I was looking for spaghetti and I saw a packet of macaroni. I remembered that my late grandma pernah masak macaroni with chicken soup and fed one of my little cousin (I reckon her age was around 1 year ++ at that time). So I decided to make macaroni for Emir but instead of chicken soup, I tukar sikit recipe tu jadi Macaroni Chicken Bolognese..:P

Here's the easy peasy recipe to make the simple yet delicious Macaroni Chicken Bolognese:

1/2 carrot, chopped
Broccoli (cut the stems)
Tomato paste/puree
One cup of macaroni (you can add more as you like)
Chicken breast

Cook the macaroni and carrot together and bring to the boil. Meanwhile, steam broccoli and chicken breast until it becomes soft (wait for about half an hour) and later minced them.

Preheat the cooking pot then pour the tomato puree and stir a bit. Add minced broccoli and chicken breast and cook for a few minutes.

Drain the macaroni (and chopped carrot) and place it into the cooking pot and stir for a 2 minutes until all the ingredient are blended together.

Walla! ready to be served to your little customer..:P Ibu dia pon join makan sekali..

Thailand's Cowboy??

My first thought before I entered this restaurant was "It's just another typical Coffee Shop and served western foods.." Being me, I more prefer to eat rice and lauk2 during lunch and this restaurant not really up to my liking..Then my husband insisted to check the menu displayed in front of the restaurant..I was surprised to discover that they are not only serving coffee and typical western food but there's also eastern food like fried rice and various kind of noodles. I was suddenly changed my mind and said to my husband "okay, lets give it a try!" The main reason just simply they also served Tom Yum Goong (my favorite!)..

Black Canyon is originated from Thailand (that's explained why they served Tom Yum) and was established in 1993. Other than their famous coffee, Black Canyon also offers an extensive food menu combines Western and Eastern favorites like fried rice and noodles and also Thai specialties tom yum, som tam etc. Black Canyon has few franchised open in Malaysia too! The one that I visited is in Alamanda, Putrajaya.

As the name clearly stated "Black Canyon Coffee", Black Canyon's excellent reputation is based on serving coffees of the highest quality, with the best aroma and taste, made from 100% fresh coffee beans imported from around the world, as well as those grown in Thailand under Royal patronage.

Because I insisted to eat rice, we opted white rice and some lauk2 along with it. Fried chicken with cashew nut and stuff omelet..Yum yum!

Tadaaa! My all time favorite 'Tom Yum Goong'..So sedappppppp! Like the one I tasted in Bangkok during my last trip there. Makan sampai licin I hirup kuah tu..

The drink was not that bad thou..I had a tough time to decide which drink I wanted to order. I was like "eh nak yang ni la..jap2 tukar yang ni la.." hehe my husband tengok pon geleng kepala..At first I wanted to tasted their coffee then I changed to Tropical tea sebab tengok dalam menu and sangat tempting..For hubby Black Canyon Iced Coffee..Dapat la jugak rasa coffee kat situ..

For this little boy, I packed homemade porridge..He was attempting to suap sendiri but banyak yang spilled compared to yang masuk dalam mulut..He almost poked his nose dengan plastic fork tu..*Sigh*

In the end ayah took over to feed this little rascal..Tu pon menjerit2 nak pegang spoon sendiri..

Out of ten I can give 8.5 to Black Canyon Coffee..Price range is so reasonable and I would definitely come to eat here again! Suddenly terasa lapar while typing this entry..=P

Toddler Activity : Coloring

Coloring session is more than just fun activity! Coloring is a great fine motor activity for young children. It strengthens the small muscles in their hands and improves their eye-hand coordination. When the kid holds the pencil to draw or colour, his pincer point is strengthened as well. Most important is Emir and I could both enjoy doing this activity together.

"Activities that involve colors have the power to develop and influence those abilities in children. When children take part in such activities, both the right and left part of the brain is being exercised. What does this do? It helps strengthen and develop creative thinking in children. This is a good approach to developing the child’s innate character.

Colouring activity has immense potential in the development of both the right and the left brain as it requires the help from both the hemispheres of the brain. Why? This is because colouring activity requires thoughts and coordination. Development and provision of life to thoughts is the job of the right brain while the hand eye co-ordination required to get a picture on the paper of to provide colour to the picture needs to be guided by the left brain"*Source*

I bought a coloring book and a set of color marker for Emir during our trip to Kinokuniya the other day. Initially, the coloring book was used to occupied him while we were having lunch but up to my surprise Emir seems to enjoy it so much!

Each time I hold the coloring book and color marker Emir will clap his hand excitedly and pull my hand so that I can sit beside him and join him together. I once tried to hide the coloring book and the marker away from him and Emir ended up crying out loud like someone had pinched him hard.

Most of mothers must be worried if their children started to extend their creativity to wall or sofa or even sometimes children accidentally mark themselves or their clothes while they draw and color. You, moms don't have to worry no more with Crayola Washable marker and crayon. I chose Crayola Washable Marker for Emir. It comes completely off clothes and skin and you can easily swipe any mark right off walls with sponge. Senang kan??

Price range - a bit expensive but I think it's really worth buying rather than you need to re-paint your wall or change your sofa, right?

'Don't disturb me Ibu! I'm busy coloring my book'....Sampai berkerut2 dahi tu..bersungguh betul!

Hasil creativity Emir..

Okay Ibu..I am tired..Can I just lay down for a moment?

Coloring is a great past time for kids of all ages. Sit down and color with your children sometime. You just might find that you still enjoy it too!
